Mandalei Cattery is managed by myself, Carol Liebelt and is dual registered with both FASA & GCCFSA.

My cattery is situated approx 3/4 hour from Adelaide, at Gawler which is referred to as “The Gateway to the Barossa Valley” and also “The Best of Town and Country”.

My Home

I chose to breed Burmese as I believe these outgoing, affectionate intelligent cats, with their soulful eyes and their knack of wrapping people around their little paws, to be the ultimate pet/companion.

All Mandalei cats are free of FELV, FIV and Chlamydia and are tested regularly. Testing is required for any incoming queens.

A special thankyou to Patricia Sacshe (Tarnova Cattery) for all her help, ongoing advice and especially for entrusting one of her glorious stud boys, 'Whacko' to me.

Thankyou also, to Sally Mays (Xabra Cattery) for all her advice and for entrusting 'Obie' to me.

Another thankyou goes to Eileen Kain (Seawynd Cattery), for all her help, ongoing advice and for entrusting one of her beautiful girls, 'Nadi' to me.

Another special thankyou to Pamela Miller (Keeza Cattery) for entrusting one of her beautiful girls, 'Tess' to me and for extending her hand of friendship.

Thanks also to Muriel and Richard (Kokhan Cattery) for entrusting one of their beautiful girls, 'Munji' to me.  Their advice and friendship is cherished.

Another thank you to Janine Cooper (Creswell Cattery) for entrusting a very special boy 'Harry' to me, he was worth the wait.

Gone but not Forgotten!

CCCA & GOLD Gd. Ch. Mabu Jackson

GGCH Mabu Jackson (better know as 'Whacko') is no longer with us.

I was a very lucky breeder to have been entrusted with a stud boy of Whacko's calibre and disposition, especially as my first working boy.

He sired many kittens of which numerous have had great success on the show bench, he was renowned for siring kittens of superb type and temperament. He himself was still 'strutting' his stuff on the show bench up to the age of 10, having obtained CCCA & Gold Grand Champion status.

A cat of real character, he touched the hearts of so many people, all of whom will share in the loss of this truly magnificent boy.

He used to take great delight in embarrassing people by lying on his back for a tummy rub and then he would grab your hand and place it over his 'family jewels' for a rub.

It was a heart wrenching decision, not to mention taking a lot of effort on my behalf, to take him to the vet for his final journey.

May my dear Whacko RIP. You will always hold a special place in my heart.

I hope you had a harem of girls awaiting your arrival.
